The Villages of Florida. What can I say. We took a trip as we have several friends that live in that community. Every amenity known to man is there for an enjoyable retirement.

Recreation Centers that are beautifully done, Golf courses galore, and restaurants, outdoor pavilions with music, you name it.

The folks zip around in their golf carts, some are replica models of classic cars, some souped up 4×4 looking models, if you can imagine it they will build it for you.

Home models to fit about any budget and design, ranging from low 100;s to the millions!

So, we explored, were taken to shows, events, and open houses and the works. When you are doing it with long time friends the experience is pleasant.

While in Florida I took the time to start the process, well continue the process of looking for the boat that will be my part time home circumnavigating the globe. What I did learn about that, well, really I guess I already know, is that used boat sales is a stinky business.

The Villages were nice, and very comfortable living. For retirement, and I suppose you could live there and not be retired, the is no rule about that, it is pretty much a dream. Easy living if you will. Well worth considering as a home base for those years.

We came to see, but more importantly we came to spend time with friends. We had a good time and enjoyed the company and were especially grateful for the hosting. Time with friends is always precious. That’s the real end isn’t it? Time we have spent with those we enjoy. Thanks for the visit guys, it was wonderful.
