Yea, OK, so this is a rant post. Spectrum cable took over Time Warner a few years ago, say 4 I believe. All these years I have been paying the extortion fee for a speed of 100 mbps.
Today I called and complained. 1st, they tell me I am a legacy customer from Time Warner, and have not been migrated to the Spectrum network. Ahm, sure, whatever, but why is that exactly? All I hear is blah blah blah.
Anyway, they migrate me over. I also ask for a lower speed. My internet abuser, er user, is off to College and I really do not need that kind of speed. 20mbps is quite sufficient.
Sir, the only way we can downgrade you, is if you are drawing some sort of state or federal assistance. Say what! I cant go lower than 100? No sir, unless you can prove you are collecting assistance of some kind. That”s insane I tell her. I only need 20. I call Bullshit on that part, and will be making some calls to remedy that.
In the meantime, she migrates me. The two screen shots below show the before speed, and the after speed. As we can see I am only 33 after migration. So I ask her where is my 100mbps, that I am paying for, and have been paying for for the past 4 years. Sir, we will have to send a tech out, but we also see you are using your own equipment so it may be that. Ahn, no the equipment I have it from last year, and is rated over a gigabyte.
Well, at least I can now upload faster! Anyone have stuff they want uploaded, cause I have good speed there!
Lets consider this round one. Ding ding, there is the bell.
