This year we celebrated our countries formation by spending time with friends at West Point.
We met Andrew back in the Army in Germany in the 80’s and have pretty much remained in touch since. He was an early adopter of new tech, and back in the early 80’s one of the 1st to get a VHS camcorder. He recorded our wedding on that machine, I didn’t think too much of it at the time, but today appreciate it.
After the tour, we found a picnic table on an overlook off base, and spent the afternoon catching up and sharing a lunch.
Lovely day all around. We made it home in time to cuddle or little pooch while fireworks sen him shivering and scared.
